Dear Beverly

Just dropped by to say hello.

            Mi Amor.    You remembered me.

Always.

Your boys have slipped to 4 1/2 back.   Sorry.

Beverly Ann Kegley Carvajal, Boz Skaggs: Look What You've Done to Me

          Pffffffttttt.

Tune for today.   Enjoy.

Boz Skaggs: Look What You've Done to Me

Hope they never end this song
This could take us all night long
I looked at the moon and I felt blue
Then I looked again and I saw you
Eyes like fire in the night
Bridges burning with their light
Now I want to spend the whole night through
And Honey, Yes, I'd like to spend it all on you

Love, look what you've done to me
Never thought I'd fall again so easily
Oh, love, you wouldn't lie to me
Leading me to feel this way.....

They might fade and turn to stone
Let's get crazy all alone
Hold me closer than you'd ever dare
Close your eyes and I'll be there
After all is said and done
After all you are the one
Take me up your stairs and through the door
Take me where we don't care anymore.....

Love, look what you've done to me
Never thought I'd fall again so easily
Oh, love, you wouldn't lie to me ...would you
Leading me to feel this way.....

Love, look what you've done to me
Never thought I'd fall again so easily
Oh, love, you wouldn't lie to me
Leading me to feel this way...

Dear Beverly

How are you today?

Hi Doll.   You remembered me.   Smile.

Always.

Your boys survived a wild one last night, beat the Rockies 10 to 8.

3 1/2 back of those nasty Giants.

Tune for you today.   Remember this one?

I love the line, "Gentleness brings love alive."
Just four words, but they are so true.

Bevelry Ann Kegley Carvajal
          That's sweet.

http://youtu.be/n40fh68x3QY

I don't know what words to say
But when I see you I know they'll come
They'll be words that finally say
How much I've needed someone
Just one look and then
I'll hear those sweet words pour on in,
I will be in love with you,
I'll be in love with you.

I don't know how lonesome I have been
I live that way day to day,
But I long to ask myself
How did I ever live that way?
Just one smile from you,
A million others will not do.
I will be in love with you,
I'll be in love with you.

I don't know how to be soft
I've become hard just to survive
But I long to become gentle
Gentleness brings love alive.
Take these two strong hands
Soften them darling understand
I will be in love with you,
I'll be in love with you.

I will be in love with you,
I'll be in love with you.

Dear Beverly

Beverly Ann Kegley Carvajal
How are you today?

            Hi!   You remembered me.

Always.

No tune today, wrote you something instead.

-->

He called you Sam.
How odd a nickname for such a pretty girl.

“Hey Sam, go out and play.”

“Sam, clean that room.”
“Please,” he didn’t have to say.
Reluctant for the chore, but you adored the man.
So off you’d go for the one who called you Sam.

“Sam, such a lovely smile you have today.”
It would grow brighter with his voice.
“I love you daddy.”

“I love you, Sam.”
That’s all he had to say.

And then the cancer came.

Gone and you just a child of twelve.
It could never be the same.

No one to call you Sam.
No sound of “Sam” to bring a smile.
No “Sam, clean that room” today … or any other day.

One day there.  One day gone.
Lay bare the heart ... and cry you did.
Such a heavy load to bear.

No one to keep the boys at bay.
No one to teach you this or that.
No one to say: “I love you, Sam.”

“I love you, Sam.”

The loss, it marked you well.
A wound not seen, but there, a heart not whole.
A week?  A month?  A year?
Could he have tarried just awhile?

Only those who took the time,
Who stopped and sought to listen.
They too could hear the whisper in your heart.
The need.  The need.  The need.

The need to be just Sam.
And hear without condition,
“I love you, Sam.”

“I love you, Sam.”

He called you Sam.
How odd a nickname for such a lovely woman.

Dear Beverly

How are you today?

            Mi Amor.  You remembered me.

 Always.

Beverly Carvajal Dodger Fan, Tracy Byrd: Keeper of the Stars

I’m afraid I have bad news.  Your boys got smack last night by the Rockies 10 – Zip!

          Yes, painful to keep score.

Two-and-half back of those nasty Giants.   Still time.

Here’s your tune for today.  Nice one for you.

Tracy Byrd: Keeper of the Stars

It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight

I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

Soft moonlight on your face oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve a treasure like you
There really are no words
To show my gratitude

So I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew

Dear Beverly

How are you today?

         Hi Doll.  Miss You.

-->
How about a tune?  Your favorite.  It always begins here.

         Smile.

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.

There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
