Just stopped in to say hello.

         You remembered me.

Always.

Funny how things worked out.

Is “funny” the right word?

Doesn’t matter the word,

it is the concept of how things work out

when two people standing in the woods,

metaphorically speaking, part

and take different paths.

Paths that they’ve agreed to.

The grand bargain.   Our bargain.

Robert Frost’s poem speaks to it.

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both”

You and I could not travel both.

You went one way, I went the other.

“I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
