Dear Beverly
Your memory is in my heart this early morning.
Mi Amor, you remembered me.
Always.
Up early, sun not up yet.
A few moments to reflect.
Nothing more.
Just memories.
Have a tune for you today ...

Words spoken, my heart open,
No I never had butterflies like that.
We danced in the moon glow,
Your hands moved slow,
You kissed me on the lips,
Swore I wouldn't look back.
It was just like we were flying, in another time,
I felt the world was ours for the taking,
When I fell into your eyes,
Never a doubt that we would make it if we tried.
You promised you'd never break my heart,
Never leave me in the dark,
Said your love would be for all time,
But that was back when you were mine
When you were...
Here, with me, I thought we'd be,
Stronger than the past,
Better than the ones before.
How did I fool myself in thinking,
We had it all
I felt the world was ours for the taking,
When I fell into your eyes,
Never a doubt that we would make it if we tried.
You promised you'd never break my heart,
Never leave me in the dark,
Said your love would be for all time,
But that was back when you were mine
When you were...
What if this was it baby
What if this was our time
Maybe we're long past saving,
I'm gonna give you one try,
You better think twice,
Before you leave her behind.
And what if the world was ours for the taking
When I fell into your eyes,
Never a doubt that we would make it if we tried.
You promised you'd never break my heart,
Never leave me in the dark,
Said your love would be for all time,
But that was back when you were mine
When we were in love
Do you remember that time
When you were mine
Oooh
(That was back when you were mine)
What if this was it baby
What if this was our time
(Back when we were in love)
Back when you were mine
(That was back when you were mine)
Back when we were in love,
In love
You said you'd be there,
You'd said it'd last forever,
I guess you've never really meant it baby
Did you baby?

Dear Beverly
Just stopped by to say that you are in my heart and on my mind this day.
Oh Doll, you remembered me.
Always.
You were more than my wife.
You were far more than that.
You were my friend.
In the end we found peace.
For 30 years we honored a pledge between us.
Not once was it broken.
It was between us
And it remains so.
There was a day last June.
You called, we talked.
You called back a few moments later and said:
"I just wanted to hear your voice again."
A few moments after that you took control of your life.
The torment.
The abuse.
The isolation.
It ended that day.
You were my friend ...
There is this promise ...
As long as my heart beats you will not be forgotten.
Have a tune for you today ... the tune ... enjoy.
Link: Led Zeppelin: Stairway to Heaven
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all is one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
